Fallcrest

Fallcrest stands amid the Moon Hills at the falls of the Nentir River. Here, the King’s Road, the dwarven Trade Road, and the river all meet, making Fallcrest the crossroads of the Nentir Vale.

Fallcrest’s population is about 1,350, with about 900 living in the countryside surrounding Fallcrest. Most citizens are humans, dwarves, and halflings. Outside the walls, people farm and keep livestock, while inside the walls, artisans, merchants, and laborers reside.

Fallcrest is divided into two districts by a steep bluff. The area north of the bluff is known as Hightown or the Upper Quays, where the middle- and upper-class reside. The area south of the bluff, known as Lowtown or the Lower Quays, has poor, ramshackle buildings and beggars for residents. Many piles of broken wood, presumably from earlier buildings, litter Lowtown. The party still doesn’t know why….
